Meet the Team: Sierra Bishop
Sierra Bishop joined APEX Group as client development manager in April 2023. Sierra has more than a decade of experience in marketing and sales, including over six years in the construction industry. In her new role, Sierra will be developing new client relationships on behalf of APEX Group in the Houston market.
“Sierra has a natural ability to build rapport and connect with people,” said APEX Group CEO Thomas Holland. “I am confident that she will not only help us build our client base, but also help our clients achieve their own goals. We are excited to have her join our team.”
We sat down with Sierra to welcome her to the APEX Group team and learn more about her, both personally and professionally.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I have lived in Texas for a little over 10 years after living all over. I’ve lived in Colorado, North Carolina, Florida and California and even Guatemala! I have two kids; Jackson is 8, and Lily is almost 10. They are my reason for everything. I am a big foodie and love to cook, eat and experiment with different recipes. Both of my kids also love to cook and are actually very good. We eat just about anything and everything.
2. Why did you decide to join the APEX Group team?
I chose APEX Group because of my interactions with the leadership team. I feel that the core values strategically line up with mine and how I live my life. I love that employee retention is so high, which shows me that I have found a great new home. I also like that I will still get to service my same customer base, just with a different focus.
3. How has your past experience prepared you for your new role?
My decade in sales and experience with the Houston market has prepared me. I have gotten to know the ins and outs of the Houston commercial real estate sector very well, as well as the amazing people who are in it. My clients and vendors have become some of my closest friends.
4. What are your hobbies?
I love to cook, eat, go fishing with my son, garden with my daughter and spend time in the lake (or any beach/body of water).
5. What’s the most interesting article or book you’ve read lately?
Lately, I mostly read senseless books for fun or the Bible with my kids. On my nightstand to start reading are Contagious Optimism: Uplifting Stories and Motivational Advice for Positive Forward Thinking by David Mezzapelle, Lead to Win: How to Be a Powerful, Impactful, Influential Leader in Any Environment by Carla A. Harris, and You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero.
6. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sushi! That’s what I had to celebrate my new job.
7. What’s on your bucket list?
I want to visit the Taj Mahal in India and dive the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
