Thomas Holland

Thomas Holland
CEO/President, APEX Surface Care

Thomas Holland, a Texas Tech graduate, is the founder and CEO of Corporate Floors Holdings, the twenty-year-old family of companies which encompasses Corporate Floors and its sister brands, APEX Surface Care, and Texas Carpet Recycling. Thomas is a Past President of the Dallas/Ft Worth Chapter of IFMA, as well as a past board member of CARE (Carpet America Recovery Effort). An advocate for education, he has helped moderate sessions for IIDA, BOMA, USGBC, and IFMA. When not working, Thomas loves spending time with his wife and daughter cooking, running, spending time on the water, and diverting classic cars from the landfill.

David Douthit
Chief Financial Officer

David Douthit joined Corporate Floors in July 2009 as Chief Financial Officer. After several years as a CPA, working with both large and small firms in public accounting, David started in the flooring industry in 1983 with Carpet Services, one of the predecessors to DuPont Flooring Systems. David’s more than 25 years of experience in the commercial flooring industry helps Corporate Floors continue its track record of growth and success. A University of North Texas graduate, David, and his wife Mary are recovering from raising three wonderful children over the last 30 years and enjoying the free time that not having soccer practice and coaching duties allow.

Jim Burns

Jim Burns
President, Corporate Floors

Jim Burns joined our team as Division President of Corporate Floors’ installation business in July 2015. He brings more than 25 years of sales and management experience in the commercial floor covering industry. Jim held previous senior leadership positions with Meletio Lighting & Electric, Reiser & Associates and Resource Texas. With the addition of Jim, we look forward to continuing our larger strategy of delivering the highest levels of service to our commercial flooring clients, and separating our installation and maintenance.

Candice Rowe
Executive Vice President, Corporate Services

Candice Rowe joined Corporate Floors in May of 2017 after relocating to Texas from Arizona. She began her career in the construction industry working in her grandfather's steel business. With more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance working in both the General Contractor and Subcontractor markets, Candice is dedicated to maintaining the financial integrity of the business and is committed to the continued growth of a strong accounting team. She is passionate about supporting the Sales and Ops teams and believes her department should be a resource for the business as a whole. In her time away from the office, Candice is enjoying exploring all that Texas has to offer - from Texas Country Music to Kolache’s to the delicious BBQ!

Jim Burns

Jim Burns
President, Corporate Floors

Jim Burns joined our team as Division President of Corporate Floors’ installation business in July 2015. He brings more than 25 years of sales and management experience in the commercial floor covering industry. Jim held previous senior leadership positions with Meletio Lighting & Electric, Reiser & Associates and Resource Texas. With the addition of Jim, we look forward to continuing our larger strategy of delivering the highest levels of service to our commercial flooring clients, and separating our installation and maintenance.

Stacy Murphy
Vice President of Sales

Stacy Murphy joined Corporate Floors, an APEX Group Company, as vice president of strategic sales in December 2021 and was promoted to vice president of sales seven months later. She oversees all sales operations for the commercial flooring installation company. Stacy is a member of the commercial interior design association IIDA, serving as vice president of professional development for the Texas Oklahoma chapter, and has earned her NCIDQ certification, the highest standard for professional interior designers. A native Texan, Stacy earned her Bachelor of Interior Design from Louisiana State University. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and twins.

Phil Kellen

Phil Kellen
General Manager, San Antonio

Phil Kellen joined Corporate Floors, an APEX Group Company, as general manager of the San Antonio and Houston locations in April 2022. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the two locations and leads their overall growth strategy. Phil has more than three decades of experience in the commercial flooring industry. His expertise includes driving innovation and sales growth while managing large, complex projects. Born in Iowa, Phil got to Texas as fast as he could. He currently lives in the Hill Country with his wife, where they are busy making memories with their grown children, grandchild and friends.

James Krotzer
General Manager, Austin

James Krotzer joined Corporate Floors, an APEX Group Company, as a product and installation solutionist in July 2013. In October 2021, he was promoted to general manager of the Austin location, where he is responsible for the day-to-day operations. James has been in the commercial flooring industry for more than 30 years. He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the business, from installation and renovation to sales and project management. James lives in Wimberley with his wife, two kids (his third child is grown), two dogs and three goats. When he’s not working, you can find him hunting, driving his tractor, and smoking BBQ.

John Davern
Regional Vice President, Texas

John Davern joined Corporate Floors in February of 2004. John has a long history in the service industry, including 15 years of experience as Vice President for two janitorial firms. In September 2014, John transitioned into our Director of Maintenance Sales. While he continues to have a selling role with certain strategic accounts, he primarily trains and leads our Sales team.
John is active in the Dallas and Fort Worth IFMA and BOMA organizations. His hobbies include music, sports, working out, and spending time with his family and friends.

Brendan Wires
Regional President, Pacific Northwest

Since joining Whitman Global in 2018, Brendan has become an invaluable member of the team. He previously spent more than 20 years with Romac Industries, a leading manufacturer of pipe products for the waterworks and wastewater industries. As director of operations, he ensures Whitman Global runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Brendan graduated from Seattle University.

Jay Natale
Regional President, Southwest

Jay Natale joined APEX Surface Care, an APEX Group Company, in October 2021. As regional president, Natale oversees APEX Surface Care’s operations and growth in the Southwest. Jay previously worked for more than 25 years at Square Care, a specialty maintenance firm specializing in data center and critical space cleaning that merged with APEX Surface Care in 2021. He has earned multiple credentials from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. Jay lives in Chandler, Arizona, with his wife and children. During his time off, he enjoys camping, fishing and spending time in the mountains.

Mark Cannon
Senior Vice President of Operations, Texas

Mark transitioned to Corporate Floors after twenty years in the commercial janitorial industry where he worked in customer service, quality control, account management, special project management, transition management, and as Vice President of Operations. Before entering the service industry in 1991 he earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree at UT – Arlington in 1987. Mark was drafted into the NFL in 1984 and worked from 1984 through 1991 as center and deep snapper for Green Bay (’84-’89), Kansas City (’89-’90), and then the Indianapolis Colts(’91).

Erik Lind
Vice President, Strategic Accounts

Erik was born and raised in the Metroplex, and is the only true Texan of his four siblings. He began working in the flooring industry in 2003 with DuPont Flooring Systems. In the commercial flooring maintenance field, Erik has served as both Regional Director of Operations and Director of Sales. In September 2014, Erik accepted a new leadership role as our Director of Strategic Accounts. In this role, he leads our strategic and national accounts team and develops product and installation client relationships.

Alex Trujillo

Alex Trujillo
Vice President of Operations

Alex Trujillo joined APEX Property Services, an APEX Group Company, in June 2020 as vice president of operations. He plans, directs and oversees the day-to-day operations of the commercial cleaning company. Alex has been in the facility services industry for almost 30 years. Throughout his career, he has overseen the cleaning and maintenance of a variety of facility types, including office buildings, medical centers and airports. Alex, who was born and raised in Mexico, currently lives in Allen with his wife, two daughters and son. He enjoys exploring the great outdoors, skiing with his family, and riding his Harley-Davidson.

Jonathan Whaley

Jonathan Whaley
General Manager

Jon Whaley joined The Elevated Cab, an APEX Group Company, in February 2021 as general manager. He leads the overall direction of The Elevated Cab while managing the company’s day-to-day operations. Jon has extensive knowledge of the elevator industry in everything from design and sales to fabrication and installation. His demonstrated leadership and innovation has helped the company establish a reputation as a leader in the elevator interiors industry. Born and raised in Texas, Jon currently resides in Montgomery with his wife and children. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and outfitting.

Carol Gray
Director of Business Development

Carol Gray joined The Elevated Cab, an APEX Group Company, in February 2021 as director of business development. She is responsible for identifying growth opportunities and developing strategic initiatives for the company. Known as “the Elevator Lady,” Carol has almost 30 years of experience in the industry. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in marketing from Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois. Born in Michigan, Carol moved to Texas in 1985 and now lives in Trophy Club with her husband. She’s close to meeting her goal of visiting all 50 states, with only Montana and Oregon left on her list.
